Aham Trust  was established by a group of South Asian New Zealanders with a specific interest and passion to develop South Asian involvement in the cultural and creative life of New Zealand. The specific purpose of the Trust is to build engagement of South Asian and other ethnic minority community members in Aotearoa New Zealand with film, television, moving image, and performing arts as modes for storytelling and participation in the wider community.

Our goal is to build capacity among our diverse community to participate in the screen industry and performing arts sector, and to utilise these modes of storytelling and communication with fluency.
